3. Payment Plans:

   • We understand the importance of financial flexibility, which is why we offer students the option to enroll in a payment plan for their convenience. By signing up for a payment plan, you are committing to an auto-renewing subscription that requires recurring payments. You have the freedom to manage and cancel your payment plan at any time by contacting us at Support@TeacherColesEngishCorner.com. 

4. Refunds and Usage:

   • At TCEC, we are dedicated to fair and transparent billing practices. Purchased packages are non-refundable, and any lessons used from a package are non-creditable. However, if you believe you have been mistakenly charged, please reach out to us within thirty days of the charge, and we will diligently evaluate your request.

   • If you have requested a cancelation of your package and are on a payment plan, we will evaluate your package count and credited payments. If you have a balance due payment must be made before cancelation of the auto-renewal payment system.

• A breach or violation of any of the Terms of Service will result in an immediate termination of the Services.

2. Tutor Quality:

   • We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of tutor quality. Our team carefully evaluates and selects tutors based on their credentials, experience, and qualifications. However, it's important to note that TCEC does not conduct extensive screening of tutors beyond our standard selection process. If you ever have any concerns or feedback regarding a tutor, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at Support@TeacherColesEnglishCorne.

SECTION 11 –Zoom/Voov Lessons & Recordings:

Online Meeting Platforms:

1. TCEC uses Zoom Meetings as the main online teaching platform with Voov Meeting by Tencent as the second option when Zoom Meetings is not available or not working.

2. By booking a lesson and joining the online meeting platform, via the provided link, you have agreed to not only use the above-mentioned platforms but also agree to have the class recorded by the TCEC Teacher for the benefit of your child, as they'll get to view the recorded lessons at their own leisure.

​

Online Lesson Requirements:

​By joining the online lesson via the provided link you have agreed to the following TCEC Rules of

Conduct while participating in the online lesson.

​

1. All lessons are recorded by the TCEC Teacher. 

2. Recordings will include images/video and audio.

3. All participants will turn on their cameras and leave them on at all times during the lesson.

4. All participants will treat each other with respect and kindness.

5. Absolutely NO PROFANITY, NUDITY, PORNOGRAPHIC, or ILLEGAL/INAPPROPRIATE SOLICITATIONS/PICTURES/AUDIO will be displayed or used at any time during the lesson.

   1. **This will also include all students wearing proper attire in class at all times. Male and female students should arrive fully dressed in proper attire for their lessons. ​

   2. ***Remember all lessons are recorded. Please be aware that anyone crossing into the view of the attendee's camera will also need to be properly dressed as well.

6. TCEC Teachers may disconnect or close a meeting at any time, without notice, if they feel threatened, or if there are any violations mentioned in #5 above. No refunds or class credits will be given if the teacher leaves the meeting for these reasons.

7. All participants will conduct themselves with politeness and good manners. If, at any time any participant is unkind, impolite, offensive, or does not use good manners the TCEC Teacher will give a warning to the participant/s notifying them of the infraction and offering a correction. If the misconduct continues after the 2nd warning the TCEC Teacher can end the class and there will be no refund or class credit issued.

 

RECORDING NOTICE:

"All online lessons with TCEC enable an attendee to participate through a personal device's microphone and/or camera. An attendee may elect not to participate through the use of a microphone and/or camera, but the attendee also understands that it is at the TCEC Teachers' discretion to end the meeting without refund or class credit if an attendee opts to do so. The election of an attendee to use a microphone and/or camera constitutes a release and waiver of rights in the capture of the attendee's image, likeness, and/or voice for the exclusive use by Teacher Coles English Corner, LLC with no limitations, exclusions, or expirations."

Attendees, clients, parents, or guardians may opt-out of the agreement to use the attendees' image and/or likeness for exclusive use by Teacher Coles English Corner, LLC by providing written notice to our support email address: Support@TeacherColesEnglishCorner.com.

 

Once written notice to opt-out of the agreement to use the attendee's image and/or likeness has been received by Teacher Coles English Corner, LLC all future usage will not include the attendee's image and/or likeness as stipulated by the opt-out request. TCEC will continue to maintain the exclusive rights to the usage of the class video recording with the attendee's voice present but without the attendee's image and/or likeness visible to the public.

SECTION 12 – FREE ASSESSMENT / TEST LESSONS:

Teacher Coles English Corner, LLC - TCEC offers free Assessment Demo Lessons during various promotional offerings. This Service is only offered free if you arrive at your scheduled Assessment Demo Lesson on time as scheduled by you in our online booking calendar.

If you do not arrive at your scheduled time for your Free Assessment Demo Lesson you agree that you will pay for one Full Price Solo Lesson at the current listed price on our TCEC Bookings Page.

​

**All Free Assessment Demo Lessons are offered at 1 (one) free demo per person. You are welcome to schedule more than one Assessment Demo Lesson but only the 1st Assessment Demo Lesson will be allowed to qualify for the Free Assessment Demo Lesson Promotion.

SECTION 13 – Bookings, Cancellations, Permanent Schedule, & HW Submission Policies

Cancellations Policy:

1. Classes can be canceled up to 24hrs before a lesson begins. 

2. Late, non-billed cancellations are approved at the teacher's discretion.

 

Booking Policy:

1. All bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance. 

2. Classes can be booked up to 24hr before a lesson begins.

3. Late bookings are accepted at the teacher's discretion.
    

Permanent Bookings Policy:

1. Permanent bookings are arranged with each teacher individually.

2. All permanent bookings are personally scheduled by the teacher for your convenience.

3. Clients who continually cancel or move a permanent booking can be removed from the teacher's permanent schedule at the teacher's discretion.

4. Permanent bookings can be canceled according to our regular cancellation policy with the understanding that you must also notify your teacher personally of the cancellation as well.

 

Homework Submission Policy:

1. Submission Deadline:

   • All assigned homework must be submitted to the TCEC Finished HW folder no later than 10:00 pm on the night preceding the scheduled lesson.

   • Any homework submitted after the submission deadline is not obligatory for correction by the TCEC teacher. While the teacher retains the discretion to correct late-submitted homework, it is not mandated by TCEC.

2. Submission Format:

   • PDF file format only

     • Incorrect file format will not be corrected​

   • One (1) file submission per homework assignment only​

     • Multiple submissions per assignment will not be corrected

   • Exceptions: If the TCEC Teacher requests multiple submissions in other file formats (eg. mp3/mp4)​

 

It is important to bear in mind that our teachers manage multiple classes, allocating time not only for lesson preparations but also for homework correction. Submission of late homework introduces delays and additional workload for the teacher.

 

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to the homework submission policy, as it ensures a streamlined and efficient learning experience for both students and teachers at Teacher Cole's English Corner.

SECTION 14 – Group Package & Corporate Course Policies

Group: Packages/Courses

1. Class Continuation and Course Count:

   • Unless all participants cancel, the class will continue and will be counted towards their course count. The purpose of group packages/courses is to ensure a cohesive learning experience for all participants. In the event that some participants choose to cancel, the class will proceed as scheduled to maintain the integrity of the group dynamic.

2. Video Copy of Missed Classes:

   • We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, preventing participants from attending certain classes. To ensure that students stay up to date, a video copy of missed classes will be provided. This allows participants to review the material covered and minimize any knowledge gaps.

3. No Refunds on Missed Classes:

   • Please note that there will be no refunds for missed classes. As group packages/courses are designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience for all participants, the course fee covers the entire program. While we understand that individual circumstances may arise, the group setting and structure of the classes make it difficult to offer refunds for missed sessions.

 

By participating in our group packages/courses, you agree to the terms mentioned above and acknowledge that the class will continue unless all participants cancel. Additionally, you understand that missed classes will be provided as video copies and that no refunds will be given for missed sessions.

SECTION 15 – Package/Subscription Lesson Accounting:

It is the responsibility of the student/parent/guardian to track the number of lessons taught and to maintain an accurate record by periodically checking their Member's Account via the TCEC website. Using the TCEC Spaces by Wix 

app is recommended for quick lesson bookings, cancelations, and purchases, but it is also recommended to check your member account via the TCEC website at least once a month to check your previously taught lessons for accuracy.

Conditions for Lesson Count Errors:

1. Check your member account via the TCEC website at least once a month for lessons taught

2. Any errors in lesson count must be brought to your teacher before your package expires 

3. Screenshots of errors must be in English

4. Any errors from Expired Packages or errors over 1-year-old (whichever comes later) will not be researched or corrected by the TCEC Support Team

   • Included in Packages: Personalized lessons are included in all our language learning packages. This customization is based on the standardized materials provided by Teacher Cole's English Corner.

2. Specialized Lessons:

   • Definition: Specialized lessons involve the creation of unique and tailored lesson plans that go beyond the scope of our standard offerings. These lessons are crafted to meet specific requests, topics, or learning objectives unique to an individual student.

   • Quoted Price Plan: Specialized lessons, requiring the creation of distinct materials and a significant investment of time and expertise, are subject to a separately quoted price plan. This compensates our teachers for their dedication, effort, and specialized skill set involved in crafting these lessons.

3. Expectations:

   • Standard Lessons: Our standard language learning packages include personalized lessons utilizing available standardized materials. These lessons are designed to address the overarching language learning goals of our students.

   • Communication: Clear and open communication is essential for ensuring that our teachers have a comprehensive understanding of each student's goals. This facilitates the effective personalization of lessons within the framework of our standard offerings.

   • Quoted Price Plan: If a student requests specialized lessons, a separate quotation will be provided to cover the additional time and expertise required for crafting unique materials.

4. Transition Between Teachers:

   • Individual Approaches: Each teacher at Teacher Cole's English Corner brings their own teaching methodology, experience, and expertise to the classroom. When transitioning between teachers, students may experience variations in teaching styles and approaches.

   • Personalization Continuity: While our commitment to personalization remains consistent, the personalization approach may differ based on individual teacher methodology.

SECTION 17 - AI and Autocorrect/Performace Enhancing Software Usage:

At Teacher Cole's English Corner (TCEC), we recognize the value of modern technology in enhancing the language learning experience. We encourage the ethical and proper use of AI and Autocorrection/Performance Enhancing Software to augment the learning process, providing additional support and opportunities for improvement. However, it is crucial that such tools do not replace or hinder the development of essential language skills needed for success.

 

By engaging with TCEC and utilizing AI or Autocorrection/Performance Enhancing Software, users acknowledge and agree to the following guidelines and acceptable conduct:

1. Purposeful Usage:

   • AI and Autocorrection/Performance Enhancing Software should be used purposefully to enhance the learning experience, not as a substitute for active engagement and participation.

2. Original Work Submission:

   • Users opting to use AI or autocorrection software for homework assignments must first present their original work to the teacher, showcasing all mistakes before applying any corrections.

3. English-Only Questions:

   • When utilizing AI or autocorrection software, any questions related to the corrected work should be presented in English. This ensures effective communication and understanding.

4. Corrected Work Submission:

   • Users are required to submit both the original and corrected versions of their work to the teacher. This enables the teacher to assess the learning process and provide targeted feedback.

5. Explanation of Corrections:

   • Articulating why the work was corrected is essential. Users should demonstrate their understanding of the corrections, showcasing the learning achieved through the use of AI or autocorrection tools.

6. Seeking Clarification:

   • If there are aspects of the corrections that users do not understand, questions should be framed to allow the teacher to provide prepared answers during class. This facilitates a deeper understanding of the language concepts​
