This course aims to equip students with the necessary skills to improve their comprehension and analysis abilities, as well as hone their communication skills. In this course, students will explore a wide range of literary and informational texts, engaging with various genres, styles, and themes. They will learn how to critically analyze and interpret the texts, drawing insights and making connections between different works. Students will also develop their writing skills, focusing on crafting well-structured and persuasive essays that effectively convey their ideas. By the end of Units 3&4, students can expect to have a heightened ability to analyze complex texts, identify literary devices, and understand authorial intent. They will have honed their skills in constructing coherent arguments and supporting them with evidence from the texts. Students will also have improved their overall communication skills in written and verbal forms.
